Discretion Should Trump Party Loyalty

Mindful of the commonsense wisdom of my parents' counsel that one can be justifiably judged by the company one keeps, it is now painfully obvious to me that Senator Obama is unsuitable for the Presidency of the United States.

His now well-known friendship with Rev. Wright, purveyor of a divisive, race-centered Black Liberation Theology; his association with Wm. Ayers, an unrepentant terrorist; his 8-year friendship in Hawaii (1971-1979) with Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the Communist Party USA; his arrogant attack on small town Americans whom he described as bitter and clinging to their guns and religion; his wife's description of America as "downright mean" and her statement that not until now has she been proud of being an American; the alarming, though unsolicited, endorsements he has received from the Communist Party USA, Move-On.og, the Democratic Socialists of America and Hamas, a terrorist organization, are, in their totality, sufficiently troubling to persuade this American not to risk voting for Senator Obama in November.
In the final analysis, objectivity--not blind ideology--should always trump party loyalty.
